SUMMARY:Ceramic Slab Vase with Cass
DESCRIPTION:\n\nPlay with clay! Get your hands dirty with local artist Cass
  in this beginner ceramic vase class! You’ll learn basic clay slab-build
 ing techniques and underglaze application\, then experiment with handle sh
 apes and color combinations to create your own unique piece. Cass will beg
 in with a demonstration and then assist students as they build their own v
 ase. After a half-hour break to allow vases to firm up\, we’ll reconvene
  to apply colorful underglaze! Bring a snack and stretch your legs while s
 hopping SMC! Following class\, Cass will bisque fire and apply clear glaze
  to pieces. Students will be contacted after the final glaze firing to pic
 k up finished work at South Main Creative. Ages 12+\, please.\n\nBe sure t
 o wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and/or bring an apron!\n\nMa
 terials fee covers: cost of clay and glaze used\, access to tools\, and Ca
 ss’ labor outside of class glazing and firing pieces!\n\nSaturday July 9
 \, 2022\, 1:30 PM-4:30 PM\n\nClass fee is $40. A materials fee of $20 will
  be due to teacher at time of class.\n\nSpaces are limited\; online regist
