Join local calligrapher Kate Edwards at South Main Creative to learn the basics of modern calligraphy! In this two and a half hour class you’ll learn about the supplies used for pointed pen calligraphy, how to hold a pen holder, letterforms and how they’re assembled, and
troubleshooting tips and tricks. You’ll walk away with the ability to get ink flowing from nib to paper and all the tools needed to practice and develop your calligraphy skills. Supplies are provided and are yours to keep. Lefties welcome! Ages 12+, please.
Materials fee includes:
● Class packet containing upper and lowercase exemplars, practice sheets, practice
words, guidelines and an abundance of tips, tricks, and resources.
● Pen holder
● 2 nibs
● Inkwell and ink
● Pencil
● Practice paper
