Dangly Bits and Baubles in Fine Silver

Note: Previous experience in fine silver clay required for this class.

Now that you have experience in fine silver clay, you’re ready to explore more fun possibilities!
In this intermediate-level workshop with Marianne Hennigar of @mhhsculpt, you’ll learn to build interesting sculptural forms and components using combinations of fine silver clay, slip, and fine silver wire. Marianne will demo texturizing, free-hand shape forming, wire cutting and forming, and using slip to build up forms and sculptural pieces. She’ll guide you through project planning and assembling elements.

Materials fee approximately $77 (depending on fluctuating market value of precious metals), and includes 6 inches 18-gauge fine silver wire, 6 inches 16-gauge fine silver wire, 16 grams fine silver clay, and a small container of fine silver clay slip.Materials fee includes kiln firing and polishing of work completed in class, access to tools, textures, cutters and reference books. Only tools used with fine silver clay can be used (no mixing of metals).

Marianne recommends ordering a Rio PMC tool kit #111411. (these are your basic hand tools).
