A world of DIY opens up when you have a sewing machine – but you have to learn how to use it first. All those dials and buttons and settings can be intimidating if you haven’t used a sewing machine before. Bring your sewing machine to class and Anne Weaver of Orange Bettie will show you what you need to get started actually using it. In this class you’ll learn:
- How to thread your machine
- How to load a bobbin
- How to change and adjust your stitches
- How to change the needle
- How to change your presser foot (and why you’d want to do that!)
- How to sew a straight seam
We’ll practice these skills while making a pretty little pincushion. Sewing machine & basic sewing kit required. Age 12+, please.
Saturday March 10, 3-5:30 PM
Class fee is $37.50. A $3 materials fee will be due to Anne at time of class. Spaces are limited, online registration/payment is required to reserve your spot!
Online registrations are not available for this class.
