In this class, Susan instructs students in techniques of mono printing from gel pads to create your own beautiful papers, which will then be used to decoupage a glass plate or other glass vessel. No artistic background is needed for this class – it’s perfect for beginners, but experienced artists/crafters will find it a creatively satisfying experience!
Susan White Sullivan is a lifelong Little Rock resident. Her artistic endeavors were encouraged in the Little Rock Public Schools and she pursued an art degree at UALR. Her final degree was in business and she spent many years in the craft publishing industry. She discovered mono printing in a workshop at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art several years ago and once she married it to decoupage…well, here we are!!
!!Upcycling Opportunity!! Feel free to bring your own piece of glass from home. A clear glass plate or shallow open bowl found in the back of your cabinet can be transformed into art and be given a new life. 10.5” clear glass dinner plates will be available if you don’t have an appropriate piece of glass. (Note: The plate in the photograph was a $2.92 find at Goodwill and the art is printed on newspaper.)
