Join Sarah Amspacher of @slamsplash and learn how to wet felt a small gnome for your home. In this introductory-level class you will learn how to lay wool around a resist and felt it to create a colorful 3-D gnome body. Sarah will provide a wide variety of wool colors and instruction on surface design options. She will then go through the steps to finish the gnome with shaping the hat, stuffing the body, sewing on a face, and finally, needle-felting in a beard. Students will create one small gnome to take home with them but will learn all the steps necessary to make a small army of gnomes, or any other 3-D wet felted objects your heart desires.
Materials/Supplies Fee includes wool roving, stuffing, plastic safety eyes, and embroidery floss, felting needle, bottle forms and weights, and all tools and supplies needed to complete your gnome.
Extra wool will be available for purchase from Sarah.
