Trees silhouetted against an evening sky are a familiar and magical theme! We will be working with chalk pastels on black paper to create sublime compositions that are friendly to pastel novices, but also inspiring to those familiar with the medium. Learn the importance of composition, different types of chalk pastels (including pastel pencils) and techniques. Class fee includes the use of pastel sticks, pastel pencils, and black paper as well as a mat with backing so that your unique masterpiece is ready to place in an 8×10 frame. Age 12+, please.
