In this beginner-level class, Marianne introduces basic skills and practices for creating unique wearable treasures in metal clay. Students will practice with both porcelain and polymer clays , which have similar properties to metal clay, in order to gain hands-on experience before diving into metal clay. Students will then learn to create small items suitable for earrings, pendants and charms. Marianne will also demo basic findings assembly, so your pieces are ready to wear as soon as they are fired. $40 materials fee includes 15 grams of fine silver clay(price may vary with market value of fine metals), fine silver wire, double storage container, access to tools during class, and kiln firing and polishing your work. No experience necessary. Age 14 +, please. Sign up for Metal Clay Club immediately following this class to stay and play!
